Swiss Army Knives are the original multitool, still used by the Swiss Army.
There are hundreds of different types available, many are targetted for particular occupations and different uses. They are not just for camping and outdoors now either.
The two main manufacturers of genuine Swiss Army Knives are Victorinox and Wenger. Both of these are used by the Swiss Army and both are of exceptional quality. They will frequently have identically named models, with identical features at identical prices. There really is nothing to choose between them.
Other manufacturers are now producing swiss army style multitools of a similar quality.
