Camp Municipal La Civelle, Capbreton

Spent 2 weeks on site in 2002. Mixture of caravans and tents with no specific areas for either, you chose your pitch. Main toilet/facility block excellent and very clean. Others are older with a few "Turkish" toilets. Although not too near the beach the camp has 2 pools, one of which is a small childrens pool, in an enclosed (fenced) area and there is a childrens playground (again fenced). Was informed that the beach was a 20 minute walk but took the car into Cap Breton where the beach is excellent with surfing, etc. and has a lifeguard. There is also the marina at Cap Breton and many reasonable restaurants. Site has many of the typical tall trees of the area and has a good selection of shaded or sunny pitches. All staff are very friendly. Thoughly enjoyed our stay and will return.
