Le Bois Beaumard, Pontchateau

We had an unplanned stay here for 2 nights following problems with our campervan. We were really impressed with the site. The pitches are spacious and well maintained - they are divided up by hedges. The toilet / shower facilities are quite basic, but very clean. The shower stalls are really roomy - much more so than any others we experienced in France. There wasn't a drive over drain for emptying grey water, but this was the only thing we felt it lacked. The owner is incredibly friendly and speaks pretty good English. He has a good sense of humour and was very helpful in terms of contacting local garages for us. There is a small playground, with 2 trampolines. This kept our 2 children (aged 5 & 10) entertained for the time we were there. There was also a volley ball / badminton net between trees, a table tennis game, table football and (the seemingly mandatory) boules pitches. I would definitely recommend this site.
