La Mer De Glace, Chamonix Mont Blanc

We stayed here a three nights on our way east during a 2 month road trip. It was the most serene, clean and pleasant camping ground we have experienced. The place is focused mainly on tent camping. From large foliage enclosed private pitches, beautiful views of surrounding mountains, spotless facilities (shoes are left at the door to showers), free mobile phone chargers and morning bread deliveries this is just a very quiet relaxed place. Be warned though that it has no shop, no playground and nothing really to entertain you. The place is just somewhere to stay in idyllic settings, and probably more suited to adults. There are also warm dry common huts available for socialising and avoiding inclement weather. Management were very pleasant and unobtrusive.
