Campingplatz Thalkirchen 5/5 5 stars

Huge, well-run site, set in parkland alongside the River Isar. Multi-lingual staff and excellent facilities make this an great base for exploring Munich. There is an U-Bahn station nearby but best is the riverside cyclepath to the heart of the city (So cycle friendly!)Photos at reception show it gets a bit busy(!!!) during Oktoberfest.
