Site has a relaxed, municipal feel. Situated in leafy countryside just outside Munich, it does, however, experience some road noise from a nearby autobahn, but overall a very pleasant base for exploring the eastern/northern side of the city. A cyclepath from front gate will take you on an exillarating ride, right to the heart of the city (get map!)past the Nymphenburg Palace and Hirschgarten. A left turn to follow the rushing R.Wuerm north will take you 10 miles to Dachau. Feel like a local - do call at the cool and tranquil riverside Insel Muehle biergartenfor a masskrug of fragrant beer and a crispy chicken off the Schmankerl stand.
