Golden Sunset, Achaia

This campsite is the best I have ever visited in Greece. I've been there for about 5 times and it never bored me. The owners are fabulous and their hospitality is the best I ever had anywhere in the world. Whenever I will be in Greece, no matter where, I always will make time to go back to them again, even if it is just for a couple of days. So all backpackers who are doing or will do Inter-/Euro-rail.... when you arive in Patras, take the bus to Achaia for 20 minutes to this best of the best campsite and enjoy their hospitality as I did. Maybe you even doesn't want to leave there to continue your Inter-/Eurorail, like me. The first time I was there, I didn't want to continue my Eurorail anymore.
Tip: If you want to eat some day somewhere else than at their (great) restaurant, walk for 5 to 10 minutes on the beach (face to the sea and go left)and you'll see a small tiny local restaurant in the dunes. Take your Greek dictionary because they only speak Greek and their menu is only available in Greek, everything have to be ordered separated, meat, vegetables, french fries etc. They don't have complete menu's like in the restaurant on the campsite.
