Camping Sopalmo, Mojacar

Have spent winter months at this site for four years, ranging from 3 to 5 months. It is a small,predominantly English, family run site for about 30 units, very informal and the young Spanish couple who own the site seem to regard the campers as family! For the past couple of years it has been spoiled to a certain extent by the numbers of campers arriving with dogs - in one notable case, four. In the winter of 2002/2003 there was also a proliferation of semi-wild cats which were a nuisance, although the proprietor had plans to drastically reduce their numbers. The nearby villages of Mojacar and Garrucha are a delight.
