Menallack Farm, Falmouth

Have only spent one night here, but can't wait to go back.

It is a field, attached to a cheese farm, with a delightful shop selling their mouthwatering range of cheeses. I'm local, and knew the cheese before I knew I could camp there.

Pets are allowed.

Facilities are basic, I would say, but certainly adequate - hot showers (free), toilets and basins, all very clean. A spin dryer is available and the shop sells bottled gas. The place is friendly, very quiet (we stayed in July), though a number of touring vans arrived or departed during our 24 hours. Those who had been there longer than us seemed very happy and content with the place. A nice mix of vans and tents.

Perfectly situated for exploring this part of Cornwall, certainly - about 4 miles from Falmouth.

My preferences for camping are no noise, no clubhouse or activities, no pool, no (noisy) children (sorry!), I just want to be away from it all, in the quiet, and this place really fit the bill.
