Scotgate Caravan and Camping Site, Keswick

This campsite is situated just outside Keswick in Braithwaite and is just about walking distance. The site is a reasonable size and seems very popular. The welcome we received was fairly clinical although definitely not rude. Just not particularly warm. The most disappointing thing about this site is that they had cut the grass just before we arrived and not collected the cuttings. The subsequent rain meant that everything became covered with grass and was very annoying and we felt this was unacceptable. The sanitation block was cleaned at least once while we were there but because it is so old, it doesn't look particularly clean.
