Sykeside Camping Park, Penrith

Quite a large site, suitable for pretty much all tastes. Just a couple of niggles for this one - even when the site is busy the toilets are only cleaned (and re-stocked with paper) once a day which makes them pretty unpleasant at busy times. Also, the hot water tended to run out mid-morning, making cold showers the norm for those who aren't up at the crack of dawn - would suggest using the showers when you get back from a walk/day out as averse to morning. Also, this site is quite pricey - cost us £66 for two people, a tent and a dog for 4 nights! Good food in the Brotherswater Inn but again, quite pricey.

I have stayed here a couple of times and it is excellent. Beautiful views easy access to some good walking and peaceful. There is a pub and seperate bar with pool. Bunk house and camping. Recommend it.
