Henllys Farm, Rhyl

I've been going to this site for about 30 years and now they're getting greedy! For a site as basic as this is, cleanliness not withstanding, the prices are too high this year (2003). Local sites with better facilities are charging the same(ish)! My main concern now, is the disruption caused by drunken rows, late at night when most peole are trying to sleep. These have occurred on each of my last 3 visits & the "security guard" sits oblivious in his car at the site entrance! Last year a motorcycle was ridden around the camping area for an hour with nothing being done. Who would dare leave their caravan/tent to fetch the guard, when this is going on? Also, thefts from tents & awnings are increasing & the staff (she who must be obeyed)were somewhat abusive when it was reported next day. You can't leave anything out now or it'll disappear. Luckily Henllys was full (of people who didn't care about the above, I assume)very early last Easter & I've found a nice quiet site on a farm, away from the main town. No more sirens and blaring music from the pubs & clubs, & a peaceful nights sleep to boot.

I did not like this camp at all. It was overrun by teenagers and dogs.It was not a quiet camp. The toilets shut at 10pm and the showers were only open for a few hours a day and most of them where broken. It was basically a field crammed with as many tents as the owner could fit on...I also think £12 per night is a bit steep for a 2man tent. Have not been there since.

this is a quite well kept site for families, showers are 50p, and very clean, so is the toilets, a laundry, phonebox, and a disabled toilet. it is approx 800 meters, from traffic lights in towyn on the leftr hand side near by is a shop post~office a pub.
