The 20+ The new range of Vitus kids bikes are ready to make riding more fun, opening the way for junior adventures. The lightweight frames, rigid forks and just enough gears ensure these bikes have everything your junior rider needs and nothing that they don’t, with no extra complication or weight to hold them back. Each component is perfectly proportioned for smaller riders to ensure comfort and control. More fun and more pedalling starts here.  Shimano 7 Speed Drivetrain For the 20" wheel performance, Vitus have fitted one more gear to give a Shimano 7 speed drivetrain, including a Altus rear derailleur and thumb shifter both these offer a light action performance making it easier for kids change gear. Tektro Mechanical Disc Brakes To ensure that the your child can stop with ease, Vitus have bolted on a set of Tektro cable actuated disc brakes to give a solid braking performance not matter whether its wet or dry. Along with these they have got short pull levers making it that little bit easier for the children to reach the levers. Plus Size Tyres Vitus wanted to make a mini trail bike without adding too much weight. As adults we don't like lugging round heavy bikes so why should our children have to suffer the same. To help do this on the 20+, Vitus sacrifised the suspension forks which is where most the weight is for a set of 2.6" tyres. Tradionally a 20" bike would use 1.75/2.0 tyres, using the 2.6" offers improved stability and grip whilst adding extra cushioning that is equivilant to 30mm of travel. Not to mention they look awesome!!
