Racing 3 C17 Clincher Wheelset The Fulcrum Racing 3 wheelset offers great performance for training and everyday riding. A fine all-weather pairing, they provide excellent durability making them the perfect set of wheels for your training bike. This lightweight clincher duo features milled alloy rims and a MoMag inner profile to eliminate rim tape and reduce rotational mass. All Racing 3s' feature an oversized drive side flange and a 2:1 spoke ratio for quick handling out on the tarmac. Every push on the pedals from the rider will force most of the energy on the drive side of the rear wheel. To combat this loss of rim tension and power transfer, Fulcrum has solved this cycling problem with their 2:1 spoke ratio pattern by doubling the spoke count in crucial zones on the wheel. Simple and Elegant, the weight of the rim gasket is balanced on the opposite side with an item of similar weight. Aiding strength and suppleness is the Anti-Rotation system which locks the spokes in place once the correct tension is achieved. Engineers at Fulcrum have designed this system to ensure the spokes never lose their initial tension and to remain in the position that has been proven to provide the perfect aerodynamic properties. This set also comes with a Shimano freehub for use with Shimano cassettes. GP4000S Tyres The Grand Prix 4000S was the reference tyre in the road market but now gets a facelift. 4000S II gets a Vectran breaker for unsurpassed puncture protection and Continentals advanced BlackChili compound for lower rolling resistance and increased grip. The discreet coloured bead strip allows you to colour coordinate the tyre to match your bike perfectly without losing the BlackChili tread performance.
