Le Tedey, Lacanau

Once we recovered from squat toilets (normal ones are there too), and the odd dirty toilet/shower, this campsite really is a gem. The forest setting is lovely, and it has its own beach onto the lake. WIndsurfers' paradise, and the ocean is a 15 minute drive for surfers. It is really idyllic.
The facilities are good - showers, washrooms, washing up and laundry areas, with supermarket (albeit expensive), takeaway, and camp shop. It has a bar, with entertainment three or four times a week. Very family friendly, but plenty of non-families stay there as well. The placements are adequately sized. Staff are friendly. Any disappointment with cleanliness of showers or toilets was overcome by the beautiful setting. We stayed there this year, and will be returning next year.
