Le Val De Bonnal, Bonnal

I spent the entire summer of 2004 working on this site for Eurocamp holidays and I had the time of my life. The site's best feature is its three lakes. One is for watersports which the campsite run, one is for fishing and the other is half for swimming and half for pedaloes. This third lake also has a surrounding grass "beach". You can swim in one There is also a river (L'Ognon) running through the site which is very popular for canoeing. There is a bar, shop, games room and snack bar and also a fantastic restaurant just up the road called La Forge. Next to the restaurant which is literally two minutes away, is a go karting track. The site also has two playgrounds and a swimming pool with slides! Nearby attractions include Dino Zoo for the kids, a number of chateaux, the Citadelle at Besancon (which houses a wide variety of museums and a zoo), the hills over Baumes Les Dames for any walkers and the Balon D'Alsace National Park. I would clearly, highly recommend this site!
