Erholungspark Nord-Elm Reviews

Erholungspark Nord-Elm

It is now almost 6 years since I visited this site with my VW camper and although a bit difficult to find at first, what an amazing surprise on arrival. The camp-site is next-door to what appears to be a massive outdoor leisure centre which at the time was, I believe, not in joint 'ownership' although this may have altered since. Access to this enormous sport centre was 'cost-frei' if you were staying at the site. New built holiday homes were seperate from the camping area only by camp roads and an abundance of greenery. The whole area was carefully laid out in a typically German precise way, plenty of space between pitches and kept clean and tidy. The site represented an aerial view of perhaps a 'snowflake' design as I remember. An expansion plan was envisaged for near future maybe because of it's popularity. Although a lot of time has passed since my two day visit, I was very impressed, and that swimming pool, wow! it was an olympic size for sure. I am planning a round Europe tour on my SuperScooter (with tent) this year and may just make a return visit and see if it is still there. Caravans, Campers and Tents were carefully segregated to keep things safe (and tidy)and the toilet block was new and super-clean. The cost per night was if I remember about 7 DM or was that Euro's? still a bit cheap anyway.
