North Beach Caravan and Camping Park Reviews

North Beach Caravan and Camping Park

North Beach is a fairly quiet site in a lovely location next to a great sandy beach. It lies about 18km north of Dublin City, and Bus 33 from Eden Quay stops 10 mins walk from the site.

It's mainly aimed at RV or caravan users, but it is possible to camp in a number of fairly sheltered spots. The back field lies in a dip and gets a bit boggy in the rain, however.

Toilets and washing facilities are adequate and the showers are 50c for about 7 minutes. They are however very hot, and there did'nt appear to be any control over the temperature.

There is a small kitchen and patio area tucked behind the residential mobile homes at the back of the office, but it gets a bit crowded with more than 5 people in it.

Big EuroSpar in the village, or there are 3 Chinese takeaways, 2 chip shops, 2 pizza joints and an Italian cafe doing all sorts of fast food.
The Harbour Bar is a music pub across the beach, or if you walk out of the site, follow the road towards the bus stop and take the first left, there is another pub called the Gairlyan Bar, which seems to be a friendly locals bar.

Bus tip - if you are in Dublin, the 33 bus serving Rush is infrequent. However, catch any bus to Swords (41,A,B,C) and get off at the last stop in Main Street, opposite the Fingal County Council Offices. There are more connections to Rush from Swords, as certain buses start from here.
