Seal Caves Caravan and Camping Park, Achill Island

We decided to revisit Seal Caves after about 20 years. After initial confusion with another campsite on the island, we eventually found our way to Seal Caves. It was just as we remembered - a beautiful location close to Slievemore beside a fabulous beach. Not too busy, quiet and secluded. Booking in was a bit tricky as the owner had gone walkabout but eventually we were sorted. As we had a tent, we were instucted to set up on the grass and to head up the back! Wow! The side of the hill was terraced and afforded lovely secluded sites with fantastic views sheltered by fushcia hedges. Just what we wanted! The site was clean but the showers were very delapidated and need replacement urgently. Our peace and tranquillity was a little disturbed by nearby building but other than that the place is heavenly!
