Corgo do Pardieiro Reviews

Corgo do Pardieiro

Compared to the regular Portuguese campings, Corgo do Pardieiro is a big surprise: very spacious (only 6 sites total and some 40 meters apart), oak trees for shade and a picnic table at the site. Very quiet (except for the occasional train; the rail road Faro-Lisbon runs about a kilometer north of the campground). Very good facilities (clean shower, toilet, kitchen, cooling box available).
The campground is at about half an hour walking distance from the local train station. In summer it is usually very hot and dry in this region (no campfires or bbq permitted), but we stayed here in April which is probably the best time of the year (lots of flowers!). The nights were still rather cold. On their website I noticed that they are now also doing vegetarian meals.
