Camping Roquetas, Roquetas De Mar

This campsite is HUGE! You can hire a fridge, or even a whole kitchen unit which is brought to your pitch on a forklift truck! Good for children as it has 2 big clean pools, tennis, etc. No entertainment though, which was a bit disappointing as it was advertised in the guide. The supermarket on site was very cheap and had it's own butchers (the homemade burgers were delicious!), and the restaurant was also good value for good plain food. The town of Roquettas was too far away to walk and not up to much once we were there, but plenty of day trips which you can book at camp reception with discount. Very good local waterpark. Not much character to the actual campsite, with a lot more permanently pitched tents and caravans than mobiles. I was NOT impressed by the shower/toilet facilities. They really weren't very clean. This could be excused by the sheer number of people on site, but during the weeks stay I never actually saw a cleaner in our shower block! Despite having a fairly pleasant stay her, I wouldn't rush to go back again!
