Camping El Brillante
This is a fairly central site for Cordoba and the surrounding provinces and ideal if you are planning to take the train out to Sevilla, Granada, etc. The staff are fairly pleasant generally and the site is fairly quiet despite the number of people it crams into the small space. The plots are fairly small but adequate. Unfortunately the ground is just a thin layer of sand on either rock or concrete. Take a lot of tent pegs with you because you will go through a lot of them.

Camping El Brillante
We visted the site mid June, so not crowded and couldn't have asked for anything more. The facilities were numerous and spotless with plenty of hot water and the staff fine. Most but not all the pitches were shady but it is a good idea to take extra strength pegs anywhere in Spain. The swimming pool was fab and FREE. Good security at night. An excellent location for visiting Cordoba as plenty of buses or easily within walking distance. Although not disabled myself it looked as though there were excellent facilities for wheelchairs with a sloped ramp into the pool. For those with small children note the childrens pool wasn't open. The onsite restaurant wasn't open but there is a reasonable panaderia just down the road or Macdonalds if you really must. The onsite shop was small but well stocked and a there is a large Carrefour nearby. Useful vending machines with coffee and cold drinks. I would recommend it.

Camping El Brillante
I have stayed at this campsite and can say that in spite of the reasonably good facilities and ideal location for tourists wanting to visit the capital of Cordoba this camping provided one of the worst experiences I have ever had in Spain (and I have lived here many years).
The Director of the campsite and staff harassed me upon my insisting on reclaiming my rights as a consumer with regard to the 'bono' passes they provide for the swimming pool.
Know that the pool is NOT free and costs extra.
Know that the facilities can be over pressed due to the allowing of more tents and people allocated to the specific sites...prepare yourself for long lines, etc. in the shower and bathroom facilities as a result.
But, above all, prepare yourself for unfriendly staff. They know that the summer months they do not need your money because the site is usually packed. From this arrogant perspective they treat you in a cold dry manner (only ONE staff member out of the 10 I interracted with impressed me as being human).
Most shocking was the attitude the Director, Antonio Chumilla, demonstrated to me with regard to foreigners. For a camp site that, according to an article I read in a newspaper in Cordoba, has a clientle 99% foreign in the winter months, this man struck me as nothing less than a thief who would gladly take your money and insult you to your face at the same time. The man went so far as to push me on two occasions. An authentic hypocrite that insults the image of the many friendly Spaniards I have had the wonderful pleasure of knowing.
Stay away from this camping at all costs.
Best to go to the other sites locates in Amodovár or La Carlota....
Believe me!
