Camping Osuna
Not a nice campsite. Full of ants - beware. Toilets / showers are filthy. Shop and bar at campsite are very expensive 1.40 EURO for bottle of water and 3 EURO for beer. 'Concerts' every night - good crack but music very loud. Wouldn;t recommend this campsite to anyone / anything!

Camping Osuna
Stayed here for a month in January 2002.
Found it to be a really laid back campsite with minimum rules, regulations and interference. Probably best for the 'alternative' visitor.
The owners do operate at weird times but if you are nice to them they are nice to you. They do have barking dogs but they are always kept under control.
We were on site with 2 children and felt perfectly safe.
Yes, the washing facilities and showers left a little to be desired. The hot water was being repaired while we were there.
But many campsites in England have broken showers and you have to pay.
The campsite although in the midst of the City is situated in park with lots of wildlife. I saw my first nuthatch there.
But by far the best reason for staying there is the bar. It doesnt get going until
12.00pm and they are still partying at 3.00 pm. Although drinks are expensive (Madrid
prices) the musics good, the people are very friendly, local madrilenos also go there, and the
atmosphere is out of this world.
There is a local metro station (Canillejas) about 15 mins walk away - 5 or 6 stops
and you are in the centre of Madrid.
Worth a visit if you enjoy life and like to do your own thing.
The only moan I would have is that it is rather expensive but then it is the nearest campsite to the centre of Madrid.

Camping Osuna
Not a great campground. Washrooms provide one roll of toilet paper for all stalls. Sometimes, the toilet paper has run out. There is no running hot water, and showers are lukewarm at best.
The hours for checkin and checkout are limited. If you need to arrive late or leave early, you have to face the irritable owners of the campground and their snarling dogs.... They only let you pay at certain hours, and we still haven't figured out exactly how that works.
Not recommended.
