Camping Valdemorillo, Valdemorillo

Camping Valdemorillo is a friendly, Spanish style campsite. Many of the places seem to be occupied by Madrid inhabitants (on a permanent basis), but there are a few places available for tents (behind a fence to be specific).

Knowledge of some basic Spanish words is essential to be able to express yourself to the campsite personnel, because nobody speaks even remotely English. Every attempt to speak Spanish is rewarded by very friendly smiling and with the use of gesticulation language you'll get there in the end.
Also, if you like a quiet campsite, then drive past this one: when not playing music the Spanish keep on talking all simultaneously from noon till eleven p.m. (siesta excluded).

But none the less this is compensated by the magnificent swimming pool with a length of 33 metres.

The campsite is very useful for undertaking car trips to El Escorial (Felipe II palace) and the city of Madrid.

How to get there: drive fom Madrid the A6 (Valladolid)and tahe the exit Galapagar. Drive direction Galapagar (M 510) and follow the direction Valdemorillo. The campsite is situated at the first roundabout entering Valdemorillo.
