Camping Cabopino Reviews

Camping Cabopino

This is a very nice, clean and tidy camp site situated near Calahonda, with a lovely beach (part nudist) across the road. The site is set in tiers down a gentle hill. There is a restaurant, internet cafe, minimarket, cafeteria, children's play area, swimming pool, volley ball and football ground and public telephones and an ATM machine so you don't have to trek into town to a bank.

The staff are friendly and speak quite good English in the reception, bar, shop and restaurant. There are four large toilet blocks with free hot water and with dish washing and laundry washing sinks as well as a laundrette on site. These are all cleaned at least once a day although it could be more as they always seemed to be clean!

The plots vary but all have good tree shade. Some are on grass and others on white loose stones but all are a good size. We had a caravan, large jeep, full size awning with bedroom extension and an additional 4 man tent all on one plot!

There are ample water and electricity points everywhere. There are lots of permanent static homes on the site with nice little gardens which create a lovely setting in themselves.

Dogs are allowed although they must be kept on a lead or you will incur a €10 fine if your dog is found wandering around by itself!

To get to the campsite, come off the N340 motorway at KM marker 194.7. Every visitor receives a gate key to get in and out of the site.

Well worth a visit and we shall certainly go again.

Camping Cabopino

The camp site was clean and spacious. I rented a pitch which had ample room for two tents, a two man and a three man tent, plus a car. There was also a washing line next to our pitch. The swimming pool on site was very pleasant, and the children used it at the end of each day! The beach was only a five minute walk away and had fantastic large waves which the children came in on, on their lilos! The breakfasts were great on site, selling croissants and doughnuts. Nearby (5 mins drive away)was an eat as much as you like buffet for a very reasonable price. We ate breakfast there one day, and an evening dinner another. All in all a fantastic campsite. I would visit again!

Camping Cabopino 5/5 5 stars

Fairly large site, very clean facilities. The campsite is very close to an excellent beach. A little further will take you to a harbour with some fabulous restaurants. By night there is a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and it is not too busy. Talking about restauants, the restaurant on site is excellent and far higher standards than any other campsite restaurant I have visited before. The reception staff are very helpful and speak excellent English. The campsite hire out wooden chalets at a pretty reasonable cost. There are quite a few parcelas to pitch tents and caravans. There are also quite a few private mobile homes sited. On the whole a lovely site, however other than the pool there is little to do for children. Despite this fact ( I have 4 children) I come here every opportunity, so that is of little relevence to me, especially with the water park and the amusement park (Tivolli world) close by.
