Camping Portuondo, Vizcaya

A group of 4 families from Scotland, we travelled here in 2003, and rented chalets. These were very new, sparkling clean with verandahs and individual grassed area, well equipped (basic) kichen, satellite tv etc. , the bar and restaurant AMAZING with huge terrace overlooking the bay. There were quite a lot of these grouped together on the site. The campsite staff were lovely - there were regular patrols after midnight to ensure everyone was tucked up in bed which was a bit embarrassing when the Mums were caught having a drinkie in the hire car at 12.30am. Public transport close by and the local village a 5 minute walk, also safe sandy beaches.Beautiful area frequented by wealthy Bilbao residents. Highly recommended.
