Camping Park Platja Bara, Roda De Barà

We visited this site in June 05. We stayed in one of the mobile homes rented out by the campsite. It was an excellent site with brilliant facilities (although I think the pool would have got very overcrowded during peak season). The park is situated along a very busy road. The taxi fare to the nearest train station (Sant Vincenc de Calder) was 10euro each way, which I thought was a bit expensive. There would be no problems if you had a car, but campsite is a bit out of the way and nothing within walking distance (except a couple of nice beaches along a nice cliff walk).

Campsite restaurant is excellent, we ate there most nights. Campsite has a good supermarket (although there is a much cheaper, larger one just outside the campsite, on the other side of busy road).

Entertainment every night was good and plenty to do for the kids. We thoroughly enjoyed it, although if we went again, we would hire a car.
