Tyn-y-Mur Camping & Touring Park Reviews

Tyn-y-Mur Camping & Touring Park 5/5 5 stars

I have been going to Tyn Y Mur campsite since I was 1 and I am now 15. I really enjoy going to Abersoch and love going back to the campsite in the evenings. The view from the campsite of abersoch bay and St Tudwall's island is amazing and on a clear day you can see right over to Harlech. The campsite boasts lovely pitches. The staff are kind and very helpful towards visitors, they have many leaflets in their office about attractions and the Abersoch area. There is a semi-detached toilet and shower block, women in one side and men in the other, the toilets and showers are cleaned regularly so it is always tidy. When you arrive at the campsite you will be given two keys one for the mens toilets and one for the womens. Mens key = Blue and the womens key = Red. There are washing facilities for your clothes this includes washing machines and driers but you do have to pay to use these and you only have to pay for hot water in the washing room, You will find there are also washing-up facilities this comprises of six sinks. There is a chemical waste disposal unit to get rid of liquid from babys pottys etc but i'm not going to go into that:) There is also a place where you can get rid of rubbish which is collected often. For children there is a large play area area in the center of the campsite near the Washing-up and toilet/shower facilities so you can keep an eye on them the play area comprises of swings slides and a large rope frame. You can take ice packs to the office if you dont have a fridge and they will freeze them for a small fee. The campsite comprises of two fields which overlook abersoch bay. Just down the road from the campsite there is a pub called the 'Anchorage Inn/Glyn Club' this pub puts on shows and disco's for children most usually in the evening, whilst during the day they serve superb food. The pub also has an excellent view of Abersoch bay especially the sun-sets in the evening. I remember going to the 'Anchorage Inn/Glyn club' when I was little, there was a man there and he made us all get 10p, go outside and shout "we're from the Glyn Club tonight and we've got 10p"- strange now I know but I really enjoyed it. If you want to walk from the campsite into Abersoch it's only an eight minute walk but the scenery is absolutely beautiful. The stay there is cheap around £3.00 per person per night but thats just for campers. I have never stayed in a caravan there before so I am not quite sure of the cost for caravans but still I think it is very cheap for the luxury it has. I cant wait to go there again, as I have always celebrated my birthday out there August the 1st. I am going again this week even! I am 15 years old so never let your teenagers tell you they are too old for camping because they would love it here, as there are jewellery shops for girls and girls for boys ha ha ha;) Thank-you for reading this and I hope to see you there soon.
