Silver Bay Caravan Park Reviews

Silver Bay Caravan Park 5/5 5 stars

We have been staying at Silver Bay since our children were small and are now visiting with our grandchildren. The site is clean and tidy ,toilets and showers cleaned regularly and good play facilities for the little ones. The bar and restaurant are excellent and the staff are very friendly. The scenery is magnificent ,a site well worth a visit.

Silver Bay Caravan Park

I found the staff at the site very friendly. The tent pitches were good but be careful of the lower pitches as one area was quite wet. A playground for children, but it is stating to get a little frayed round the edges. Toilet and washing facilities good. The biggest plus is the beach which is about a 5 minute walk down the private track. This is clearly a popular site for families so don't go if you want peace and quiet.

Silver Bay Caravan Park

We visited Silver Bay last summer with two children aged 5 and 6, the first thing we noticed was the friendly way we were welcomed by the staff at reception. The campsite is very well laid out, with lots of space between pitches. The toilet facilities were clean, (as were the wahing and drying areas) the showers hot (and free) and there is security at night. We ate daily at the cafe, as the prices were reasonable and the food was good, at night we sampled the bar which had a room for the children to entertain themselves complete with their own disco. There was a great play area for them by day, sand pits, slides, swings - they loved it.
The beach was absolutly beautifull, a great expanse of sand borderd by trees, and a view you couldn't believe unless you were there to see it.
All in all a fantastic holiday site, with lots to do on the Island, we shall be going back again - that's for certain.
