Torvaig Caravan & Camping Site, Isle of Skye

we visited this site in 2003. It's just a short distance out of Portree, within walking distance. The site is grassy and pretty undulating. Facilities average and clean with no extra charges for showers etc. £3 a night per person (very cheap) we were in a tent. We were almost eaten alive by midgies but that was probably due to the weather more than the site.

Facilites were clean and tidy and owners helpful.The only problem we had that the hardstanding area was on a slope which gave us a little difficulty finding a level pitch and as pitches were not marked there were some interesting parking positions. However, it was excellent value at £8 per night for a motorhome, 2 people with electric hook-up.
