Ardmair Point Caravan Site Reviews

Ardmair Point Caravan Site

Just visited this site(May 2005)it was very clean with new shower block/toilets(20pence)stunning views and very quiet.Watched pair of Otters feeding from my camper, a bit expensive at £15 but worth it.

Ardmair Point Caravan Site

I visited this site in 2003 and 2004, it's just a couple of miles north of Ullapool. The site is set on a beautiful point amid spectacular scenery. The site is grassy and undulating in places, £12 a night for tents in 2004. There are a couple of good clean toilet and shower blocks. They charge 20p for hairdriers and there is not a lot of water pressure in the showers. There is some spectacular scenery further north but if you're staying for a few days then a must to visit is Achmelvich beach just north of Lochinver.

Ardmair Point Caravan Site

Have not been to this campsite in several years. However, ever since I went I have always want to go back. It is situated in one of the most beautiful locations in Scotland; right beside the sea where the Highlands rise straight up out of the water. As far as I can remember the facilities were good, however, I have no idea of the price. It is very close to Ullapool and within easy driving distance of Corrieshalloch Gorge. Inverewe Gardens are also quite near and are really fantastic.
If you are a big fish fan this campsite puts you well on your very windy road to Akiltibuie; a famous Scottish salmon smoker.
However, simply for the stunning beauty of the situation of the campsite itself, this place is well worth it.
