Holgates Caravan Park Ltd, Carnforth

We happened across this campsite by accident. It caters in the main for caravans and campervans. The camping pitches are limited and the price (£21.50 for a nights camping for two in a tent) will discourage others, BUT the cost includes the usual facilities of showersm toilets, etc and includes the use of the sports centre at the site. This indoor luxury swimming pool, steam room, sauna and sports club makes the value of a visit acceptable. The clubhouse and restaurant are of the highest standards. Not a usual 'run of the mill' campsite, more a spoil - but the various facilities make it value for money. Views are out over Morcambe Bay with delightful local walks. We used it as an interim stop on the way to Scotland from Devon, and will again. It sets a standard for a holiday.
