Akebar Park, Leyburn

Easy to find, and a nice drive getting there, once we left the A1. Nice villages near by to visit, and the 'Pub' at the entrance to the site is built into the ruins of an old monastary. The resteraunt server great food, if you feel like a treat, but I would advise that you book a place there, as it gets quite full; we missed out first time there! Sit facilities good, some gentle slopes on some pitches. Stream running thru the site full of mallards and other water fowl, Dawn chorus a bit loud, as the sheep tend to join in! Great, worth a visit.

Visited this site earlier on in the year. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean and well maintained, friendly staff. The pub at the top of the site was really nice with a lovely roaring fire and excellent beer. Bit hairy going back down the bank on your bike after a few pints in the pub (good fun though!). Well worth a visit.
