Helmets Buyers Guide
No longer considered uncool, helmets are now an essential product for all cyclists. Essential for road use in case of accidents and also for off-road use for the added protection against branches and other natural obstacles.
More expensive helmets will be designed to allow more airflow through the helmet to reduce sweating and help cool down the wearer. Lighter weight is probably not a huge issue with helmets, but make sure that weight hasn't been lost by sacrificing strength and safety.
Obviously, make sure any helmet that you buy satisfies all the industry standards.
