Freshwater Beach Holiday Park Reviews

Freshwater Beach Holiday Park

Arrived at 20:30 to pitch a tent, the reception was closed, however there was a sign on the door saying please pitch tents in field H if closed.

Did this.
Next day found out that we had apparently pitched next to and on someone else?s designated space. (although at night this was not very apparent or clearly marked out). Greeted by a miserable member of staff the next morning who was obviously paranoid that I wasn't going to pay, and was therefore marched like a child to the office and then charged an unbelievable £25 (their rate to stay a night on the floor in our tent). They also charged the people we accidentally pitched next to the £25 (making £50 on a 10 feet by 10 feet square of grass).
Parked car to then go on the beach only to find a threatening leaflet on the car to say that this could potentially be clamped (as I hadn't left the site at the beginning of the date stated on my departure card).

Overall the beach is nice, but a huge shame about the ugly development, unorganised and sheer lack of customer orientated service. Prices were much to be questioned.

Advice go elsewhere (there?s plenty of places along this coastline).

Freshwater Beach Holiday Park 5/5 5 stars

Been to Freshwater numerous times at varying times in the season. Summer holidays a must for all six weeks. Kids off my hands almost all the time as there was so much for them to do. Loads of competitions for them to enter etc. Ideal base for touring Dorset area. Will definitely be going again. Keep up the good work Freshwater - excellent site, albeit quite busy as very popular. Not cheap per night, but worth every penny to keep the kids entertained, oh and great entertainment for the adults too.

Freshwater Beach Holiday Park

I went to freshwater last year and again this year and I love it! it's great! speaking as a 15 year old I can tell you that all teenagers would love it, it has a beach hut dedicated to teenagers a floppers club dedicated for small children and dozens of activities for adults and many peaceful spots for anyone that comes to relax. the swimming pools are great and the entertainment at night is always fabulous, last time i went we watched a hypnotism show, a magic how, an acrobatic show, raffles with great prizes, kareoke, and an amazing disco every night-and this was only in the space of 2 nights! the water in the sea is really clean and your just drawn to enter it despite the coldness. The shop has everything you could possibly want, from food to funny cadgets you can buy for your friends back home. There's also a great fish and chip shop that you can just pop into after a swim and buy some mouth watering chips from.I strongly advise anyone going on a camping trip to try out Freshwater Holiday park! I loved it and I think you would too!

Freshwater Beach Holiday Park

We planned on going to freshwater for a couple of night's but we enjoyed it so much we stayed for the rest of the week.
Everyone's really friendly the shopkeepers and the other campers.
And after the disco in the club house its great to sit on the beach at nite with a couple of friends.
We are defanitly planning on going back next year.

Freshwater bay, what can i say, we only stayed one night, very busy but it was a bank holiday, outside pool excellent as it is heated and not too over crowed. beach is fantastic, very long you can even walk over to west bay if your feeling fit.Lots of facilities as horse riding, fishing, club house, take away, large shop, arcade, laundry and sit down meals. club entertainment very good for children and adults, we would go back again!!!

Freshwater Beach Holiday Park

i have been to fresh waters a few times and am planning on goin there this easter with some friends. i found it to be very entertaining, there is an out door swimming poole, bar and club and also food places. not only are their facilities catering for normal needs, the site is situated right next to the beach. there is a lake of fresh water(where the name comes from) and it is so clean you can safely drink it! there are many places to walk and picturess views are everywhere you. i personally cannot wait to be back on the hill top watching the sun set over the sea. the best campsite EVER!
